Clientele

JJ Fiction

JJ Fiction has been working hard on the Chicago circuit since he was teenager. The man has a well-earned reputation for being called “One-Take Jake” due to a his ability to lay entire songs perfectly in one pass. Here’s a video we did in Feb 2020 for a new single —

Pleasantries

An art/math rock group made of the most brilliant young minds in the Chicago area, Pleasantries defy traditional boundaries with brilliant, imaginative melodies & arrangements. This makes for some of the deepest musical narratives, but always leaving room for some fun to break the listener’s expectation. These videosongs are true AV captures from their time in the studio, and there is one for every song on their albums!

Rob Scallon

If you’ve browsed YouTube’s music community, you know exactly who Rob Scallon is. He remains one of the most eclectic, hard working musicians on the platform, and is constantly doing the most to bring people of all walks to learn about the musical world around us & it’s rich history.

We have had the privilege of working with Rob both in our home studio, and on location. This particular video presented many technical challenges to solve on the spot, but was well worth the effort as the end result brought one of his most beautiful songs to new life.

Between You & Me

Some familiar faces are found here in this video, including studio owner/producer Vincent Ippolito on instrumentation & Andrew Markantonatos of Pleasantries on vocals. Another shot-as-tracked videosong, this composition is an exploration of reuniting with long-lost friendships, and confronting the complexities that time brings to inter-human connections.

S Y R G

From the mind of one of the premier guitarists in the Chicago area we get SYRG— a project featuring Lucas Roehrborn with drummer Jeff Jennings & bassist Sam Cuellar. The result of this collaboration sires signature, alluring shred guitar, tight polyrhythmic cadence & grinding, rumbling rhythms for a profoundly modern take on the progressive metal genre. This videosong for “No Surprise” was shot-as-tracked in our studio location, then edited by Eric Mueller (Eric Mueller Visuals).

Find Lucas on YouTube under his project name for videos expounding concepts in music theory and guitar application.

Kasean

Power, emotion, flow — Kasean creates everything from organic vibes to punchy, tight deliveries over nostalgic r&b and modern hip-hop instrumentals. The man brings an unapologetic honesty to every track he sits in on, and it’s never been more apparent than in this studio video from May 2020.

Superkick

The Superkick boys are truly three of a kind. They’ve written more songs in the time we’ve known them than some artists will in their entire career, and they just don’t stop! To simply call them “indie” does not capture the emotion & vulnerability that is conveyed in their music. To call them “emo” would ignore how much of the human condition is explored in their lyrical themes.

You just have to hear it for yourself..

OK Cool

This dynamic duo is actually the main rhythm section behind indie-pop sensation The Weekend Run Club, except that drummer Bridget Stiebris is also on vocals & guitar for this debut! Haley Blomquist can be found walking around the bass in perfect harmonic compliment to the chord melodies. The two combined create musical textures of great beauty & emotional honesty with a bright & powerful sound.

Glacier

Hailing from the culture of big hair, double bass drum kits, and massive guitar solos, Glacier has returned to the spotlight to remind us all that heavy metal is still alive and well! Dizzying harmonies & driving percussion grooves are the backbone for soaring vocal melodies & melodic layers abound.
Teaming up with famed producer Lasse Lammert, we brought together the original members alongside some young blood to cast new light on this fantastic example of a metal symphony.

Spit

A true wordsmith, this man is a poet through & through. Thoughtful verses take you down rabbit holes of existentialism, perils of modern society, and an intimate look inside the head of one rapper trying to figure out what it means to be. Spit brings a ferocious raw quality to his art, and we are proud to see him making waves with his debut mix tape —

Chance
And The Arrow

Shelby Goodman is the incredible voice fronting this young group. She brings grace & power to her musical approach with melodies that carry sweetly over roaring indie-styled instrumentals. This album featured Mike Vaughn & Joey Mirabelli from Superkick on drums & guitar, bringing their signature edge to this record.

Geekd

Most of you may have seen Christian Moreno drum for Where’s Fernando a few years ago, or maybe you’ve caught him on the road with several musical & orchestral acts. This time he’s here showing us what he can do solo, having performed every instrument & vocals with us to create his debut EP “The Fairytale Starlight”. Listen to what this one man of many talents is capable of. It is beautiful, imaginative & unhinged.

The Oblivion Archetype

Heavy riffs, massive melodies, and aggressive vocal stylings are the hallmarks of this incredible record. The Oblivion Archetype are a highly skilled group of individuals hailing from both our home state of Illinois & our southern neighbor Kentucky. They bring a musical intelligence to the genre that makes them stand out from the crowd with unhinged, yet incredibly tight rhythmic styles & a crisp, modern sound.
